He is going to be in the nursing home until labor day and then he will be going home and hospice will go to his house to help my grandmother take care of him. when my mom told me that hospice would be there, i honestly got really scared because usually when you think of hospice, you think that someones about to die right? well thats my thoughts exactly. my paw paw has been so good to me and i cant imagine going to my grandmothers house without him being there.

On a lighter note, things with me and omar are great. we dont know when he will be going out to sea next, so we just have to wait for 2007 to get here so we can find out. there are two possibilities (i cant say because of opsec rules) but hopefully it will be the first one and not the second one. Although i would rather them go somewhere thats not a high risk area. oh well, thats being married to the military for ya!!

this is my first post. for those of you who are reading, i give you props because there isnt much that goes on worth reading about in my life. so this post is just basically an update as to what has been going on in my life in the last few months since i have talked to or seen most of you.

I met a guy, Omar, who is in the Navy, and stationed at Naval Station Norfolk, in Norfolk, Virginia. We fell in love and I knew that I was going to marry this man because 1) he is NOTHING like Tim Tim, and 2) I felt differently about him from the very beginning. So we got married on July 3, 2006 and I moved to Virginia to be with my husband. I now live in Newport News, Virginia, and I hate it. Not the area, just Newport News for several reasons: 1. I live on a peninsula and I am allergic to mold, so I have been having problems with my sinuses. 2. It's so far away from my family in Virginia Beach. On a good day, it would take at least 45 minutes to get from my house to my cousins. 3. Tunnel traffic sucks! when i have to go from my house to get Omar from the ship yards, it takes me an hour to get there, when it should only take 30 with they way i drive. Most of the time, it takes at LEAST 30 minutes to go 3 miles. I love the area, and I love Virginia, but its just living on this side of the tunnel that I hate.

On another note, my paw paw isnt doing very well from the sounds of it. He has had cancer for over a year now, and its a type of cancer that cant be cured. Over the last 2 months, he has been in and out of the hospital, so the last time he was in the hospital, him and the doctor decided to put him in a nursing home, and he was doing good until the other day. Tuesday I called my Maw Maw and she said that he couldnt hardly move, so thats worrying me really bad because I'm thinking that the cancer is getting worse. I hope its not though. So, my Aunt Teresa and I will more than likely make a trip to Alabama to see him before anything really serious happens. I just hope that we can make it down there. My mom had a meeting with the people at the nursing home to see what kind of progress or "un"progress he is making. So, thats just an update on me.
